HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Scripps Ranch High School in 2007, Brent helped lead his team to the San Diego Section Title in his senior year. He had 5 blocks and a season high of 16 points in the CIF semi final game. As a senior averaged 7.3 points a game as was honored as the Sportsmanship Award winner for the section at the CIF Finals. Brent played in the California State Championships three times in a row, Played for Coach John King.

2009-2010: After transferring from Chico, Brent played in 15 games for the Slugs in 2009-10. Averaged 7.5 points a game and shot over 53% from the field. Had a season high of 12 rebounds against Chapman. Scored 14 points against Holy Names and in his first game as a Slug blocked 4 shots against Cal Lutheran. Also, Brent’s quick hands led to 3 steals against Cal Tech.

2010-2011: Started 24 games. Top returning scorer from 2010-11 averaging 8.1 points per game. Led the team in blocks and rebounds and was second in steals. Blocked 5 shots against Simpson University. Scored 17 points against Holy Names, 18 against Cal Tech and pulled down 14 rebounds against Pacific University. Led the Slugs in scoring in 2 games and in rebounding 17 times. Earned 2nd Team All Independent Honors 2010-11.

PERSONAL: Brent was born on May 30, 1989 in San Diego, California. The son of Lee and Lisa Jacobs. Has two brothers, Kyle, Thomas and a sister, Kendall. His brother Thomas plays basketball at Cal State Northridge. Brent Redshirted at Chico State his freshman year before transferring to UCSC.
