Coach Bossier plays a vital role in all aspects of the Slug Basketball program from recruiting and player development to strength and conditioning and opponent scouting. Over the course of 4 seasons, Bossier has recruited and signed 17 student-athletes while following a recruiting workflow involving scouting potential players, building rapport through weekly phone calls and coordination of formal campus visits.

Respected for his knowledge of the X and O's, Coach Bossier has scouted and prepared reports for100+ opponents, involving film analysis of opponent strategies and personnel, creation of printable scouting reports for players to study and implementation of strategies on the court and in the film room. In addition to his scouting for the Banana Slugs, Coach Bossier has worked part-time for the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA, scouting opponents in the Sacramento and Oakland arenas.

Instrumental in the development of student-athletes, Coach Bossier has worked with 27 unique and diverse UC Santa Cruz student-athletes on the court and in the classroom, including individual instruction for both bigs and guards on the court and in the film room, as well as assistance with study habits and time management. As the lead for the Slug Basketball Strength and Conditioning program, Coach Bossier plans and implements team athletic testing, weight lifting sessions, conditioning, nutrition and overall wellness. Noted for his unique strength and conditioning training style developed while working closely with mentors Robert Terrance and Gary Marinovich, Coach Bossier places a premium on training the Central Nervous System to maximize athletic potential.

In the off-seasons, Coach Bossier has annually directed the Nike Basketball Camp held on UC Santa Cruz campus in addition to traveling to work summer camps for Stanford University and the Golden State Warriors among others.

After playing Varsity Basketball at Santa Rosa High school, Kyle quickly learned that he made a better coach than player, opting to attend LSU to study Kinisiology, Psychology and Leadership rather than play at the next level.

Kyle is an avid reader, learner and sports fanatic. While residing in Santa Cruz, he can be found surfing, watching Bay Area sports or reading on his IPAD.
