Juniata, Carthage, Share CVC Preseason Top Spot

MILWAUKEE, WI  -- Juniata College and Carthage College share the top spot as the teams to beat in the Continental Volleyball Conference Preseason Poll, as voted on by the head coaches of the CVC. Both teams had 73 total points with Juniata receiving five number one votes and Carthage grabbing three top nods.

UC Santa Cruz also had one vote for first place and 67 points total placing them in third place. Fourth place in the poll is Stevenson with 45 points, followed by Thiel (38), MSOE (37), Eastern Mennonite (22), Cairn (21) and Fontbonne (9). Mount St. Joseph will not compete during the 2013 season. 

In 2012, Carthage and UC Santa Cruz represented the CVC in the first ever NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship. Carthage finished the 2012 season as the NCAA Division III runner-up.
