SANTA CRUZ, CA -- UC Santa Cruz Men's Volleyball defeated Stevenson University. The Slugs won in three sets with the following scores: 25-18, 25-14, 25-12.
Junior Outside Hitter Jacob Landel led the team with 11 kills (0.714 pct) followed by Senior Opposite Hitter Harland Frost with 9 kills (0.500 pct). Senior Libero Mauro Salinas led the team with 12 digs. Sophomore Setter Blake Chadwick contributed 25 assists on the match.
This win brings their overall record to 7-4 (4-1 D-III, 4-1 CVC).
The Slugs continue to host a double header against Division III opponents, NYU and Stevenson. The Slugs' next match is tonight against NYU at 7:00 PM. The Slugs will play again on Saturday, March 16 at 1:00 PM (NYU) and 7:00 PM (Stevenson).
