In their first Division III match of the season, the #22 nationally ranked Slugs blanked visiting Mills College 9-0. Doubles started off strong for the slugs with Becca Parker and Sophie Lundeberg getting the first point of the match with an 8-0 defeat of Sarah Knight and Reyna Demos at the three spot. Courtney Lymburner and Sarah Malone cam away with an 8-1 victory at the two spot over Alice Hewitt and Casey Honath. The number one team of Alex Scotten and Laura Wade completed the sweep with an 8-2 victory over Quinn Harris and Rachel Quimby. The Slugs swept all six singles matches without dropping a set. Becca Parker won in convincing fashion at the six spot, 6-2, 6-2 over Lindsey Bozym. At three singles, freshman Courtney Lymburner didn't lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Rachel Quimby. Up next for the Slugs are two big Division III home matches. March 6 vs. Mary Washington and March 7 vs. Kenyon. Both matches are scheduled for a 2pm start time at the east tennis courts.
