HIGH SCHOOL: Helek graduated from San Marcos High School in 2011.  In high school Helek was a member of the cross country and track and field teams.  In high school Helek's team was the 2010 CIF Southern Section Academic Champions.

PERSONAL: Kelek's parents are Raul Rutten and Maya Schoop-Rutten.  Kelek also has a sister name Ila (17) who also attends UC Santa Cruz.  In his free time Kelek enjoys long beach runs, scuba diving, and mountain biking.
